Colin and Evan love the park in our neighborhood and ask on a daily basis to walk there. After I cut the grass in the backyard we made it to the park and out of no where came this adorable puppy. We looked in backyards to see if someone was out looking for it, we waited for the owner to show up and couldn’t find a single person in the 45 minutes we were at the park. When we started to leave the puppy followed us. I called the non-emergency police phone number to see if anyone reported the puppy missing and agreed to take it home with the hopes the owner would call Animal Control or the police station and get out information.
The kids played with this puppy for about 6 hours yesterday before we took it on another walk to see if we could find the owners. The kids and puppy were so tired they all rode in our wagon. It was very cute. After 7 last night we finally found where the puppy lived. Colin and Evan were crushed. They had named it Charlie and had hopes of keeping him. After 8 hours outside we were all exhausted and have another full day ahead of us today.
Today we have already been to Super Walmart to get picnic supplies, Colin is in school, Evan has music class and then afterward we have to run back home, get our food, pick up Colin and meet his friend from school at the park. I’m exhausted just thinking about it all. Just cross your fingers that the park has dried out after the Thunderstorm we had last night. If it’s not his friend lives right around the corner so we’ll go to her house instead.
Well, I’m going to try to get a quick stamping session in before I head out for our crazy day. Have a great one!
