Fluttery Friend

I’m limited to a quick post today, but luckily I have some clean and simple cards to show you. These use a sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping.  The base of both cards is Whisper White and I did my stamping right on the card base.  On this first one I stamped the flowers from Soft Summer in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose.  I then added the Baja Breeze Butterfly.  The sentiment was stamped on both cards with Not Quite Navy ink and I lined it up with my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  The bottom of both cards uses paper from the Parisian Breeze designer series paper package. On this first card I tied on some 5/8″ Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

On the second card I used Soft Summer again, but this time instead of doing 2 step stamping I used my AquaPainter and ink refills to watercolor my image.  I used Rose Red, So Saffron, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.  I also used Kraft Taffeta ribbon in place of the Chocolate Chip ribbon on the first card.

I hope you have enjoyed my two versions of each sketch this week, along with Great Friend being featured every day. This weekend is Colin’s 6th birthday party with family.  I don’t know how much I’ll have to post here, so I may be MIA this weekend.  Like I mentioned yesterday it’s been spring break here and both yesterday and the day before I’ve been out of the house the entire day. I’m starting to miss my stamp room so I may sneak in there today in between cleaning and baking, but we will see.  Otherwise have a great weekend and I’ll have new projects on Monday.  If I get something done before that I’ll be sure to get it posted though.  I will also get recipes up for the other cards I posted this past week.  There’s been too much to do, or maybe there just hasn’t been enough time with 2 boys at home all week long.
