If at First . . .

This card was made using Mojo Monday100 Day 3 sketch and for the Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS. If your household is like mine, home improvement projects don’t necessarily go as smoothly as planned, and there are times when you realize things are better left to the pros. When the LNS challenge was to make a masculine card I had a hard time thinking of what I wanted to do. However when I pulled out the stamps and papers it all fell together quite easily.

To make this card:
Card Stock Dimensions –
Old Olive 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and 2 1/4 X 1
Soft Suede 4 X 5 1/4 and 2 1/2 X 3 1/2
The Write Stuff 3 7/8 X 5 1/8 (Crushed Curry Pattern), 1 3/4 X 3 7/8 (Ruby Red polka dot), 1 1/2 X 3 7/8 (Soft Suede large polka dot) and 3/4 X 5 1/8 (Old Olive Polka dot)
Whisper White 3 3/8 X 2 1/8 and scraps for cut out tools

1. Adhere The Write Stuff Crushed Curry pattern to Soft Suede. Attach Old Olive Polka Dot layer, followed by Ruby Red Polka Dots. Scallop edge of Soft Suede large polka dot layer with the Scallop edge punch and adhere. Add 3 vintage brads to the Old Olive Polka Dot strip, using mat pack for placement.
2. Sponge edges of Soft Suede main image layer. Stamp sentiment from Smarty Pants in Soft Suede on Whisper White. Attach to Soft Suede and add paper piercing. Attach Old Olive strip to left hand side.
3. Stamp tools from Totally Tool in Basic Gray and watercolor with an AquaPainter using Going Gray, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and Ruby Red.
4. Cut out and attach tools with dimensionals. I used SNAIL only for the ruler.
5. Add dimensionals to the back of the main image layer and adhere to card.

Have a great Sunday!  We’re headed off to church and will hopefully have a nice relaxing afternoon with a little bit of stamping mixed in between playing outside with the kids.

I am looking for April Fool’s Day ideas. I kept Totally Tools but retired Smarty Pants. You blended these two ideas so well. Ditto on the DYI home projects. TY fir the inspiration, Jenn. lorijane
