Birthday Kindness

Before I want to get into my post, I want to remind you that Colin is collecting money for the American Heart Association by participating in Jump Rope for Heart. He’s very passionate about it and said he wanted to raise $1000. I told him in a week that a more reasonable goal was $200. If you can help him out by even donating $5 he’d appreciate it. He has his own website here and all funds will go to the American Heart Association.

Today I had a few minutes to stamp so I used the sketch challenge from yesterday at SCS. I omitted a square in lieu of a butterfly.  I really like how it turned out.  The base is Melon Mambo and is layered with Rich Razzleberry and Razzleberry Lemonade dsp.  I used 2 patterns from the package.  The main image layers are Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White and are stamped with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry using Kind & Caring Thoughts. I die cut the butterflies from textured Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry card stock.  The sentiment is from On Your Birthday.

Today it’s 40 degrees out.  It feels absolutely wonderful so Evan and I are headed back out to play.  I’ll be back tomorrow with another project to share.

  3. This is totally gorgeous! Do you mind if I ask how you got the two images to line up (the orange ones)? Did you just wing it or is there a technique to it? Thanks!

  4. Well, shoot. I just went back to the SU boards and read that you put the instructions in one of the posts. Sorry about that! 🙂
