The Write Birthday Celebration

It’s been a while since I’ve used The Write Stuff Specialty designer series paper, and it worked perfectly for this card that only took me 5 minutes to make.  I desperately needed a quick card because the weather has been so beautiful the past few days we’ve been outside for hours.  Hence my absence yesterday.  Evan had his playgroup, followed by lunch and speech and then it was too nice to come inside and stamp, so i didn’t.  However nice it’s been will quickly be gone as they are predicting near freezing temperatures and snow for this Sunday.  So outside we will be once again taking advantage of what is supposed to be a close to 70 degree day.

This card was made using the Fall to Sketch #82.  I used a Old Olive base, a Crushed Curry Pattern from The Write Stuff Specialty dsp that was stamped with Upsy Daisy using Ruby Red craft ink, and a pice of Crushed Curry Polka Dot ribbon with the polka dot side down.  The base is stamped with Chocolate Chip craft ink.  Besides that I used 2 punches, the Scallop Edge Border punch and the 3/16″ corner punch.  That’s it, nothing complicated or super fancy, but this card is still gorgeous and will be well received by whoever shall get it.

Well I’m off to do a few chores, make lunch and head out to speech with Evan.  Enjoy your Friday!  I’ll be here tomorrow with a sample based on Jen’s Sketch for You to Try.
