Yesterday I was talking to my Mom and she asked if I could make her a graduation card. I of course said yes and then realized I don’t have any graduation stamp sets. If the card had been for a female I could have made any card and simply stamped Congratulations on it. But the card she needed was for a male and the colors of the school are Orange and Black. Instead I decided to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from Jackie Topa. She is a fellow Demonstrator and her artwork is fabulous. On her blog she has a few graduation cards that resemble a cap and gown and can be customized for school colors.
The card is pretty straightforward. My cap, like Jackie’s is 2″ square. I sponged the edges with Whisper White craft ink to make it more noticeable on the Basic Black base. The tassel is Orange and Black DMC Floss. The diploma is Whisper White card stock rolled and then tied with Hemp Twine. I used Well Scripted from the Occasions Mini catalog.
Well Evan and I are off to speech soon and then I promised Colin the next book in the Magic Treehouse series so we are going to hang out at Barnes and Noble for a bit. I hope you have a productive afternoon.
