Are you ready for another SUO Challenge? I know I am and this is a fun one! The challenge was to use your Big Shot. I love my Big Shot and I use it a lot. For this card I used it to die cut the Top Note quilt and to emboss the Old Olive layer with the Lattice Embossing Folder.
This card is super simple and easy to make, but it certainly doesn’t look like it. Start by cutting a Cajun Craze card base and then applying Whisper White craft ink around the edges with a sponge dauber. I then stamped my bat image from Wicked Cool in Basic Black classic ink and then quickly doused it with Crystal Clear embossing powder. Melt that with your heat tool and set the card base aside. I then cut a 4 X 5 inch piece of scrap card stock. Use your 1 1/4″ square punch and adhere different patterned papers to it. In this case I used Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper. After my squares were all adhered I simply cut out the Top Note die using the Big Shot. I ran a strip of Sticky Strip across and then pleated my Pumpkin Pie Taffeta ribbon. Now stamp your sentiment in Cajun Craze ink and punch it out with the Curly Label punch. I used Shimmery White card stock for mine. Then before you put your Big Shot away run a piece of Old Olive card stock through with the Lattice embossing folder. Attach it to your card base and then add the quilt using dimensionals.
I love how this card turned out. It looks like I spent a lot of time making it and it looks complicated, but in all reality it was super simple to make.
