You're Sweet

I know you are all sitting on the edge of your seat to hear my news. Back in January, Jen del Muro asked me if I’d like to be the Guest Designer on her blog for the month of March! How could I say no? I’ve been following her blog and admiring her work since I started stamping just over 2 1/2 years ago. I am honored that she would ask me. For the next 3 weeks I’ll have a card with her sketch posted on my blog every Saturday. I just love her sketch challenges and try to play along whenever I have a chance.

This is Jen’s Sketch For You To Try for today. You can see it here on her blog so come on and play along.  As soon as I saw her sketch I knew what image I wanted to use and since I just opened my package of Good Morning Sunshine paper I went with that.  I started with a Pacific Point card base.  I just love this shade of blue.  I then added the next two layers comprised of Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper and Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip card stock.  My main image layer was made by stamping the Skunk from Pun Fun onto Watercolor paper and coloring him in with re-inkers and my AquaPainter.  I added a few flowers from Cheep Talk, some grass that I hand cut and then the Alpine Originals Felt Ribbon that is left over in my stash with the sentiment placed on top.

I am so thankful that Jen asked me to play along and I’m so excited that you can share in this experience with me.  Yesterday Colin’s eye appointment went well.  He has to continue to patch 3 hours a day.  Evan’s eyes are perfect and he doesn’t need to patch or wear glasses although Colin wishes he had to be just like him. It’s supposed to be a rainy weekend so I’m hoping to get a lot of stamping done.

Jenn
