Grateful Autumn Greetings

This is going to be a super quick post as today I am blogging in real time and in a moment I have to run right back out the door. This card was made using the Try a New Technique Challenge for this morning.  You can find the directions here.  My card is 5″ square with the base being Elegant Eggplant.  I masked off my Autumn Harvest images, created a mask and then stamped over it with the Medallion stamp set.  I did some sponging and watercoloring before adding brads, paper piercing and the sentiment from a brand new stamp set called Grateful Greetings.  It will be available for purchase starting tomorrow.

Okay, out the door I go.  I promise more details later.

Whew, I’m back and I have the added details for you.  Those 3 hours in the morning go way too quickly and I had to run out to pick up Evan.  Hopefully I will get ahead on my stamping projects once again.

To Make This Card:
Dimensions:
Elegant Eggplant 5 X 10 scored at 5
Soft Suede 4 3/4 square and scrap for banner
Always Artichoke 4 5/8 square
Very Vanilla 4 1/2 square

Steps:
1. Stamp your pumpkins from Autumn Harvest in Basic Gray in the center of the 4 1/2. I stamped the tallest once first, masked it and then stamped the 2 smaller ones. Watercolor with More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa using an AquaPainter.
2. Follow the steps in the Try a New Technique Challenge (linked above) to create your mask. I stamped over my mask with the Medallion background. It is inked in Always Artichoke and Ruby Red. I then sponged with More Mustard ink.
3. Add paper piercing and brads. Layer your mats and attach to card base.
4. Stamp sentiment from Grateful Greetings in Whisper White craft ink on a scrap of Soft Suede card stock. Add paper piercing and curl your banner around the handle of the paper piercer. Attach with dimensionals.

I just love these pumpkins!  They just pop off of the page and watercoloring them is so relaxing.  It’s one of my all time favorite fall stamp sets.
